Independence Day: the five things Americans do on July, \(4\)th.
1. Eat barbecues. All around the country, people make their traditional hot dogs, burgers and all kinds of meat food. It is a custom to eat them together with friends and neighbours.
2. Watch fireworks. People love seeing the colourful lights in the sky! Americans use a lot of fireworks during the Independence Day celebrations. It is a tradition.
3. Hang the flag. Many Americans keep their country flags at home. They hang them in the windows for this celebration. They believe that this tradition is very patriotic.
4. Go to a parade. The Independence Day is a great time for military parades. The parades take place in many cities and towns. People wave their flags and watch the military marching in colourful uniforms.
5. Dress white, blue and red. Americans wear clothing that looks like their flag for this day. This means they use white, red and blue clothes together. Some of them have special shirts used for this celebration only.
